| Cefuroxime hydrochloride is suitable for the treatment of bovine respiratory diseases (transport fever and pneumonia) caused by haemolytic pasteurella, polycide pasteurella and haemophilus lethargus. They can be used in lactation and non-lactation periods.Cefuroxime sodium can be used for horse respiratory diseases caused by streptococcus equine distemper, and cefuroxime hydrochloride can be used for bovine hoof rot.In pigs, both can be used to control/treat bacterial pneumonia.Cefotaxime sodium is also used for respiratory diseases in sheep and goats and for sensitive urinary tract infections in dogs.
