Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2 (chemical formula: C17H20N4O6, formula 376.37), also called riboflavin, is slightly soluble in water and is stable when heated in neutral or acidic solutions. It is the component of luteinase in vivo (xanthase plays the role of hydrogen transfer in biological redox process). When it is lacking, it affects the biological oxidation of organism and hinders the metabolism. Most of the lesions include inflammation of the mouth, eyes and external genitalia, such as keratitis, labitis, glossitis, conjunctivitis and scrotal inflammation, so this product can be used to prevent and cure these diseases. Vitamin B2 storage in the body is very limited, so it is provided by a diet every day. Two properties of vitamin B _ 2 are the main causes of its loss: (1) it can be destroyed by light; (2) it can be destroyed by heating in alkaline solution.
